Twin Groove Marking Awl
The little and mighty scratch awl. An indispensable tool in every crafter's array of tools. The scratch awl can be used for a myriad of purposes. Marking templates and patterns on leather, punching holes for corner stitches or strategic markings for hardware fittings, applying edge dye, applying glue to thread ends inside a stitching hole to close up stitching lines and pulling out tangled threads while stitching are just some of its uses.
These awls are crafted from sandalwood that has been polished to a glass smooth finish, fitted with a solid brass ferrule that is perfectly made to surround the stainless steel awl with extremely tight tolerances. (Check out the photo gallery where the awl meets the brass ferrule)
This awl measurements are as follows:
Awl length from tip to ferrule: 3 to 4 cm approximately
Length from tip to the base of the handle: 11 to 12 cm approximately
